Itinerary
Depart to Mauritius at 0700 hours, it takes 4 hours 30 minutes flight from Nairobi, and transfer to Intercontinental Resort where booked your stay for all 7 days (Getting from one end of the island to the opposite end is just a 1 hour drive.)Cost – ~INR 23,000 per night for a half board package (includes breakfast and dinner) this luxurious property will take your breath away the moment you enter. All the rooms in this resort are ocean facing and the hotel is always buzzing with different activities going on. There was a Mauritian gala dinner at the hotel and we got a taste of the Mauritian culture on Day 1 itself.
You will thereafter enjoy different activities in the hotel premises like; Kayaking, Snorkeling, Paddle Boat, Water Ski, Glass Bottom Boat ride, Wind Surfing, 2 swimming pools, table tennis .

After a lavish breakfast, we will depart at Ile Aux Cerfs, situated at the east coast of the Island. A beautiful, private island resort that has pristine blue waters and fine white sand. There are various water sports activities available around the island resort like parasailing, underwater sea walk, speed boat ride, tube ride etc. A package of all these activities costs around MUR 7500 (INR 15,000) for a couple.
The beauty of the Island is so mesmerizing that one can just chill at Ile Aux Cerfs and give the water sports a miss. They have an Indian restaurant at the Island too. You will also try the local beer there, Phoenix and had a delicious Pizza from the other restaurant in the Island. Later in the evening you will return to the resort for overnight.

After a lavish breakfast, we will depart to tour of the southern part of the Island planned, If you’re in Mauritius, one of the best souvenirs to get is the fine handcrafted wooden ship models. You will visit a factory in Curepipe that build these handcrafted ship models. The showroom with all the models on sale was magnificent and worth a visit. Afterwards you will proceed to Trou aux Cerfs which is an extinct volcano in the island of Mauritius.
The volcano is all dormant and covered with greenery. Then proceed to Grand basin and the Shiva Temple. Around half of Mauritian population is Hindu and it was good to see a temple with gods from different faiths (Ganesha, Hanuman, Lakshmi Ma, Durga ma) at one place. The highlights of this place are 2, 108 feet tall statues, one of Shiv ji and the other of Durga Maa, standing on each side of the road. This is the world’s tallest statue of Durga maa. Afterwards proceed to Le valle des Couleurs Park the nature park is famous for 23 colors of the earth which is a results of the ashes from a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. Apart from the 23 colors of the earth, the parks also has a wide range of adventure activities – Quad biking, Nepalese Bridge, Zip lining. We went ahead with a Quad biking tour which covers a tour of the entire park. We also did the 1.5 Km long zipline (third largest in the world!). The total cost of the activities at this Park Range from ~MUR 5,500 to MUR 10,000(INR 11,000 to 20,000) per couple depending on the activities chosen. Our package for 1.5km zip line and the Quad bike tour cost us ~MUR 6,900 (INR 14,000).

After a lavish Breakfast, You will be heading to explore the capital city of Port Louis and a couple of malls in Mauritius. Then visit Port Louis. Built almost 200 years back, this fort gives a breathtaking view of the entire capital of Mauritius. It some how brings back memories from the forts of Goa.

Wake up at 0900 hours, have a lavish breakfast then afterwards, make use of the most of the hotels amenities and spent a quiet relaxing day at the hotel. Explored all the water activities like glass bottom boat ride, kayaking, snorkeling in the morning and enjoying the rest of the day sipping cocktails from the Sugarcane bar.

This is a very exciting as we had sky diving and walk with lions planned. The Skydiving airstrip is located in the east coast of Mauritius and is one of the most scenic sky dives across the world. Jumping from a height of 10,000 feet with the blue ocean in the back ground is a experience worth having.
The total skydiving package (with photos and videos) comes to MUR 18,500 (INR 37,000), and is on the higher side. Afterwards return to the hotel and relax you may enjoy some activities.

Wake up at 1000 hours, you will have a bit of snorkeling, then have lunch and checked out from the hotel. The queue for the Air Mauritius flight is usually long at the airport. You will have your last stop at a free shopping at the Mauritius airport; get some Mauritian chocolates and Rum. Plane departs 1200 hours
