Overview
Explore your safari tour in the town of Livingstone, named after David Livingstone – the first European to set eyes on Victoria Falls and the surrounding area, sits on a sandy plateau in the Southern Province of Zambia. It was established in 1907 and it was actually Zambia’s capital in pre-colonial times. There is a lot to learn as there is more documented history about the city and it is where one of the seven natural wonders of the world ” the Victoria Falls waterfalls is located”
Itinerary
On arrival, guests are met at the Livingstone airport by our guide who will do their transfers to their hotel. Guests are checked-in at the hotel and depending on the time available they will refresh and prepare for their first activity the sundowner sunset cruise on the African queen or African princess vessel. The duration of the cruise is two hours, while on the cruise guests will see plains game along the Zambezi river, crocodiles, hippopotamus and birds species. Guests are served snacks and a variety of beverages.
Early morning guests will do a game drive in the Mosi-oa-Tunya national park, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, of course, protects the wonder of the world known as Victoria Falls. It also protects the wildlife that calls the wilderness around the falls home. Some of the wildlife includes buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, hippopotamus, elephant, and zebra. The game drive will be three hours.
The next activity will be the helicopter flights with a duration of 12 to 13 minutes, this will be to have the best view of the waterfalls from above and also to have the view of the gorges.
Guests will have lunch at the hotel and thereafter it will be time to do the Mukuni village tour which involves learning more about the village life and also experiencing how people go about their day to day chores. The duration of the village tour is about 2 hours 30 minutes, when the tour is done guests are transferred to their hotel.
Guests will do an Elephant interaction in the morning, this will give them an up-close chance to see the biggest mammal on land and take some pictures. The activity duration is about two hours thereafter guests will have breakfast at the hotel.
Around mid-morning guests will do the next activity which is the Rhino walk, which gives an experience of learning more about one of the Big five animals which are being protected from the threats of poachers who kill them for their horns.
Later in the afternoon, we enjoy the guided tour of the famous Victoria falls, which was made popular to the world and the Livingstone town named after the Scottish Explorer Mr. David Livingstone. The guided tour of the falls will take at most two hours and then after the tour guest will be transferred to their hotel.
This will be the last day of our safari tour when we bid farewell, guests are transferred to the Airport for their Flight.
